This disclosure covers the three legally important points reviewers look for: a clear risk-of-loss warning, an explicit not-financial-advice statement, and an explicit not-a-security statement. It also states that nothing on this site is an offer or solicitation.
HORMUZ is live on Base mainnet at the verified contract and official Uniswap V3 pool published on this page. Any different contract, pool, or account should be treated as unverified.
Live status does not reduce risk: liquidity is thin, access can fail, and market prices can move sharply. This content is not financial guidance or a promise that any additional market will exist.
HORMUZ is a fixed-supply ERC-20 culture token on Base. It is intended as cultural commentary and community expression around chokepoints, institutions, markets, and internet culture.
HORMUZ is designed for expression and public-record transparency, not as a financial product, profit vehicle, or substitute for professional advice. Participation should be understood as voluntary engagement with a culture token, not as an investment decision based on promised outcomes.
These limits are part of the project record and should be read before any interaction.
Digital assets can lose value quickly and without warning. Anyone considering interaction with HORMUZ should read this section carefully.
HORMUZ is presented as a culture token for commentary and community expression. It is not offered as a security and should not be treated as one.
Digital asset markets can be volatile, thinly traded, and difficult to access during periods of stress.
Blockchain transactions and token interactions can carry irreversible technical risk.
Digital asset treatment can vary by jurisdiction and may change over time.
HORMUZ is independent cultural commentary. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by any government, agency, military body, port authority, shipping company, financial institution, blockchain foundation, or exchange unless expressly stated in official public records.
Do not trust screenshots, social posts, DMs, fake support accounts, or copied contract addresses. Verify the contract, treasury, pool, and official links from the published records.
Any paid creator, influencer, or promotional relationship must be clearly disclosed. Undisclosed paid promotion is not allowed by HORMUZ policy.
Paid promoters must not present HORMUZ as financial advice, an investment opportunity, or a security offering. Promotional content must include appropriate risk context and should direct users to this Legal & Risk page and official public records.
Official HORMUZ channels should not use these claims.
Users should assume impersonation attempts may appear around any token launch or public record update.
We screened our own name against the OFAC, UN, UK, and EU sanctions lists, and published what we found instead of burying it.
The name “HORMUZ” collides with Iran-context vessel and entity entries on the OFAC SDN list. We documented that openly (findings F1–F14), ran interactive address checks (contract, treasury, deployer all returned zero matches), and had external U.S. crypto counsel adjudicate the whole record.
The clearance covers pool launch and public marketing on Base, subject to binding conditions. It does not cover exchange, aggregator, or wallet-list submissions; those remain gated by their own requirements and a fresh pre-submission re-screen. CoinCodex and DropsTab are submitted, pending, and not approved. The seven remaining free directory forms require restoration and are not submitted; centralized exchanges have none submitted. The screening stays public by design: it is the record, not the marketing.
